Cutting Glass Wall Sticker
- Gather the necessary materials:
- Glass wall sticker
- Glass cutter
- Straightedge or ruler
- Safety goggles
- Gloves (optional, but recommended)
- Masking tape (optional, for marking the cut line)
- Prepare your work area:
- Find a flat, stable surface to work on.
- Lay down a clean towel or soft surface to protect the glass from scratches.
- Measure and mark the cut line:
- Use a straightedge or ruler to measure and mark the desired cut line on the back of the glass wall sticker. If you’re concerned about damaging the sticker, you can use masking tape to mark the cut line on the front surface.
- Put on safety gear:
- Put on safety goggles to protect your eyes from any glass shards or splinters.
- Score the glass:
- Hold the glass cutter firmly in your hand, making sure it’s perpendicular to the glass surface. Place the cutter at the starting point of your marked line.
- Apply steady, even pressure as you draw the cutter along the marked line. You should hear a faint scraping sound.
- Avoid stopping or lifting the cutter during the cut, as this may result in an uneven break.

- Break the glass:
- Position the scored line near the edge of a table or flat surface with the cut side hanging over the edge.
- Using gentle pressure, apply a quick and controlled force downward on the overhanging part of the glass. The glass should break along the scored line.
- Smooth the edges (optional):
- Use a glass file or sandpaper to smooth any rough or sharp edges left by the cut.
- Clean the glass:
- Wipe down the glass to remove any dust or debris resulting from the cutting process.
